-Consult w/ a car seat technician- www.safekids.org

-Reference your car seat manual

-Reference your vehicle manual

-Install the car seat prior to the baby’s due date

-Car seat is right for age, height, & weight of the child

-Car seat is in the proper seat position in the car

-Car seat is facing the right direction

-Car seat is level

-Car seat is installed w/ the car parked on level ground

-Car seat is secured by the proper belt system

-1″ or less of movement side to side at the belt path

-Chest clip is at the level of the armpits

-Shoulder straps are in the proper position

-Unable to pinch webbing at the shoulders
